I’m not sure why we even try to get a group shot anymore. 4 kids all looking and smiling at the same time just is never gonna happen.
Oh well! They all had a great time at the beach which I guess is all that matters :) Thanks Momo and Papa for another fun beach vay cay!!
Sometimes Jett likes his instructions a little smaller- for better portability. Jett got Papa to help him cut out just the part of the instructions he was most interested in looking at.

Weird things keep happening here. I keep losing things. For example I knew I had bought Jett a pair of brown flip flops and then the very next day- they were no where. I searched high and low and after a week or so just gave up and bought yet another pair. Other things would disappear but I just chalked it up to general forgetfulness or figured it’d turn up later.
Well. I realized where all my stuff was going when I saw Lila stash a Capri Sun in this big vase we have. I took a peek inside and the girl had a hoard of random things she’d apparently been collecting. Thanks Lila!
I think Lila’s going to be a great big sister. She takes great care of her babies and even shares her most favorite blanket with them. We shall see!!
Lila hung out with Momo and Papa for the day by herself. I finally realized why she loves it up there so much. Not only does she get constant attention, unlimited access to cookies, hours outside on the swing….she ALSO gets things that she thought were a thing of the past. Um, like baba’s. She tippin back like no one’s business! I guess that’s what grandparents are for :)
Sean and I took Jett on a little date to see Toy Story 3. And you can’t really enjoy a good movie without some Junior Mints!
Lila seems like she learns something new everyday. Today it was that cheeseburgers are MUCH better when dipped in ketchup. I couldn’t agree more sissy!
We spent the day at the Carlsbad outlets for some shopping and beach weather. Today is also the day that Lila realized that she simply has to LOOK at something and her daddy will purchase it for her. She knows the poor guy resides in the palm of her hand and is figuring out how to use that to her benefit!
Does Jett look so big because Spiderman looks so small? I can’t figure it out but my little boy looks really grown up! I’m not liking that one bit…
I think Jett is finally at that magical age where you can put your children to work! He makes a marvelous lawn maintenance boy. Well at least for a good 10 minutes or so.
All this excitement about summer made me forget how HOT it gets here. We had to bust out the water table first thing in the morning to try and do something to beat the heat.
I love a good blast from the past. I’ve slipped and slid many a times and now my kids are having the same fun :)
Lila’s getting a little independent on her outfit choices these days. The boots were NOT something she was willing to compromise on. I don’t really know what to say about the rest of the outfit. There was a dress over the whole getup at some point.
Luke and Drew are officially on summer break! We celebrated with a impromptu play date. Just the boys were invited to lunch. Oh and Ironman too.
A few weeks ago Jett found “Spiky” the lizard up at Momo and Papa’s. Now each time we go up he has to find Spiky. You know, just to say ‘what’s up’ and all that.
Good thing all lizards pretty much look the same! Spikey is surprisingly easy to find every single time we look for him!
Jett really REALLY likes to examine things. Many times, he likes the instructions that come with the toy better than the actual toy! We laugh about this a lot as he always seems to be carrying around some sort of paper/sticker/manual to stare at. Well, um…I think I know where he gets it. Like father like son! I caught the two of them sitting on the swing outside…well, just staring! Sean was examining his headlights and Jett was examining his comic book.
You can’t tell from this picture but today is my birthday :) We celebrated by helping Papa to unclog his septic tank! Warren and Papa worked on the clog while Sean and the boys hunted some nearby lizards. Oh well, who needs cake and candles anyways, right?? :)
Jett and I took a morning breakfast date to Starbucks. I had to wake him up to go, but made it worth his while with a doughnut and some chocolate milk!
Jett checking out his buddy Colt’s new cast. Jett really empathized with Colt’s “owie” by showing him his own little scrap on his knee. Yeah Jett….cuz that’s the same thing.
Raquel passed down her wheels to Lila. This pink Jeep is still running just as good as it did for Raquel when she was Lila’s age! They just don’t make toys like that anymore do they?
